Each of them were chained to pipes on opposite sides of the room and given specific instructions on what they needed to do in order to survive.

Gordon had to kill Adam by six o'clock, while Adam simply had to escape. After failing to complete their respective tasks by the deadline they were confronted by Zep Hindle, an orderly from Gordon's hospital.

Adam beats Zep to death with a toilet tank lid, believing he is responsible for their abduction, and Lawrence crawls away to get help, having sawed off his foot. Adam was later shown to have been killed out of guilt by Amanda Young in Saw III shortly after the end of the first Saw film, by suffocating him with a plastic bag. Adam's decomposing corpse is seen in Saw II, Saw III, and Saw 3. D, the latter two also show him in flashbacks. In Saw II: Flesh and Blood Adam is mentioned in Tapp's files and audio tapes as having been hired by one of Tapp's colleagues to prove his wife was having an affair, implying this was why Tapp hired him. Alison and Diana Gordon[edit]Alison and Diana are the wife and daughter of Lawrence Gordon.

Alison and Diana are held hostage by Zep Hindle as a part of Lawrence's test. When Lawrence fails his test, Zep attempts to kill both Alison and Diana, but they are rescued by Detective Tapp. The DVD commentary for Saw 3. D reveals Alison divorced from Lawrence for his unstable mindset.

In Saw II she worked with Detective Eric Matthews and Lieutenant Daniel Rigg in order to try to save Matthews' son. In Saw III, after Matthews disappears, and is presumed dead, Kerry becomes wracked with guilt. She and Detective Mark Hoffman are called to the scene of an inescapable trap, and Kerry is the first to suspect that someone else was responsible, as the trap didn't follow Jigsaw's M. O. She is later captured and placed in her own trap, but even though she follows the rules, the trap (which was built and rigged by Amanda Young) tears her rib cage apart, killing her. Her corpse is later discovered by Rigg and the FBI. It is revealed in Saw IV that Kerry's first name is Allison, as seen on a file observed by Rigg. But by Saw III Amanda has become disillusioned with his philosophy and starts designing inescapable traps.

Unwilling to let a murderer continue his legacy, John designs a test in which Amanda must prove that she has what it takes to carry on with it, but she ultimately fails when she shoots Lynn Denlon, and Jeff Denlon retaliates by shooting Amanda. Amanda's corpse is seen in Saw IV and Saw V, and she appears in flashbacks in Saw V, and Saw VI, the latter of which reveals that Mark Hoffman blackmailed Amanda into killing Lynn, using the knowledge that she had a role in the death of John's son. Carla Song[edit]Carla was a medical student at St. Eustice Hospital, and Dr. Lawrence Gordon's mistress. David Tapp[edit]Portrayed by Danny Glover (film) and Earl Alexander (game)Appears in: Saw, Saw III, Saw V, Saw: The Video Game.

David Tapp was a detective assigned to investigate the earlier Jigsaw crimes. Evidence led him to suspect that Dr. Lawrence Gordon was the Jigsaw Killer.

Tapp and his partner Steven Sing later found Jigsaw's warehouse, but before they could apprehend him, he activated a trap, which threatened the life of Jeff Ridenhour. Sing rushed to help the victim while Tapp attempted to arrest Jigsaw, but Jigsaw slashed Tapp's throat with a concealed blade and fled. When Sing pursued Jigsaw, he was killed by a shotgun booby- trap for which Tapp blamed himself.

Tapp was subsequently discharged from the force, but continued to obsess over finding Jigsaw. Tapp monitored the Gordon's residence, still convinced Lawrence is Jigsaw, and rushed over after hearing gunshots. There he found Gordon's wife and daughter being held captive by Zep Hindle.

Zep fled pursued by Tapp, and the chase led to an underground room where Tapp was shot after a brief struggle and left for dead. In Saw: The Video Game, it is shown that Tapp was nursed back to health by Jigsaw and placed in a series of traps in an asylum, forced to overcome tests and other victims sent to kill him. In the game's "Freedom" ending, Tapp manages to escape the asylum but committed suicide sometime afterwards, unable to overcome his obsession with Jigsaw. In Saw V a police memorial service is held honoring those who died in their effort to close the Jigsaw case; Tapp was among the officers honored.
